“THE COMPLETE MILES DAVIS COLUMBIA ALBUM COLLECTION – endlich die SUPER DELUXE 70-CD Box mit allen 52 Columbia Alben, aufgenommen zwischen 1949 und 1985. Die remastered CDs kommen im Mini-LP-Stil mit dem originalen Artwork, wobei neue expanded editions der Alben “In Paris Festival International De Jazz May, 1949″ (1949), “Quiet Nights” (1962), “At Plugged Nickel” (1965) und “We Want Miles” (1981) mit raren oder bislang unveröffentlichten Bonus tracks enthalten sind. Erstmals auf CD: das bislang unveröffentlichte “Isle Of Wight ” Konzert (Audio) vom 29.August 1970, hier in voller Länge. Und erstmals auf DVD: das bisher unveröffentlichte Konzert “Miles Davis Quintet: Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams / Live In Europe ‘67″, mit Excerpten aus den Konzerten in Stockholm am 31.Oktober und in Karlsruhe am 7.November.Die Box enthält ein wertiges 250-Seiten Booklet mit Bio-Essay von Frédéric Goaty, mit Dicographie und Album Comments von Franck Bergerot, mit raren Fotos, Memorabilia und einem vollständigen Song-Index. Von 16.Oktober bis 17.Januar läuft übrigens die Ausstellung „We Want Miles“ im Museé de la Musique in Paris.”
